Damien is an Associate at Marino Law within the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team.
Damien was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Laws at Griffith University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Australian National University.
Prior to admission, Damien had gained experience working within the commercial team of a top tier firm and also within the litigation team of a boutique Brisbane firm, where Damien found his passion for litigation and is why he has practiced solely as a litigator since.
Damien has acted in a broad array of commercial and other disputes and has appeared in both the Federal and State Courts and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Damien is committed to providing pragmatic advice to best achieve client goals within the litigation framework.
Prior to coming to the law, Damien had been engaged in the financial services sector both as a client adviser and also as a founder of an Australian financial services Licensee and Australian Credit Licensee with operations in three states. Damien has a clear understanding of the commercial outcomes sought by clients.
Damien comes from the bush, but had lived on the Gold Coast for the past 17 years with his daughters having grown up on the Gold Coast. Damien enjoys cycling, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
